Rebekah spent most of the time eating. LOL She loved the snow in more ways than one.
Joseph spent most of the time throwing it. He also enjoyed it a lot.
Jon's kid side came out several times even to building the 7 foot snowman.
My dear sweet sister, Angelena was such a sport and helping me play with the kids while Jon was at work.
Also, Esther and her husband Chris drove down (almost 2 hours) to celebrate Christmas with us and we visited for New Years.
My dear sister Deborah visited us from Florida. Here she is on the right of my sister-in-law, Stephanie.
This is the Christmas dress I made for Rebekah this year. Here she is on the Sunday before but she also wore it on Christmas Eve. It is sort of a copy of the Barbie Christmas doll for this year.
Joseph was his usual self on Christmas Eve. This time he had a friend to run around with. My cousin Kyle is dating a sweet girl that has a son who is only about a year younger than Joseph. In this picture we are at my dad's side of the family and later that evening we rushed over to Jon's family's Christmas Eve.
I would have posted this before but I didn't want Daniel to see it. I have been making monogram pillows for my siblings weddings but he got married shortly before I started so I wanted to make him one for Christmas. The initials stand for Daniel and Stephanie. I will say that the letters are HUGE and took a long time to stich. I would say about 7 inches tall each. They loved it. For the letters, I owe a huge thanks to Mary Corbet's blog. It was a while ago that she posted them but go ahead and click over to her blog and see all the exciting things she did for Christmas anyway.
And speaking of the lovely couple... YUP... they flew in from Georgia to visit us for Christmas even though Stephanie is due Jan. 26th with her first baby. They are so beautiful, aren't they?
This is my parents children that visited for Christmas. We did our family on Saturday so that we would be able to visit without running around and all. In the back row from left to right is: Angelena (sister), Katelynn (niece), Catherine (sister, mom of Katelynn, Robyn, & Marlaina) Chris and Esther (sister), David (brother and prankster), Deborah (sister), me and Jon. Then on the couch is Joseph, Robyn (niece), Marlaina, Rebekah, Cathy (my mom), Bill (my dad), Stephanie and Daniel (brother).
Lastly, we have Joseph and Rebekah decorating cookies on New Years at Chris and Esther's.I hope you all enjoyed viewing my holiday. I sure enjoyed living them. We had such a great past couple of weeks and I hope and pray that all of you did as well. May God bless you in this new year and thank you all for reading. Happy New Year, Wendy! You've been in my thoughts these past few weeks....hope you're feeling lots better and that 2009 will be a great year for you and your family.
We've had more snow than normal here, too.....were even housebound for a few days!
Hi, Wendy!
I popped in the other day to take a look at your monograms - I think they look great! I love the way you combined the letters, and I really like the addition of the ribbon embroidery (good idea!).
I replied to your first comment on the original post about the thread painting tips... and I meant to comment here, too --- but ---- I came over, and started browsing, and the next thing I knew, I was running late for an appointment!
So, here I am again...
It looks as if you and your family had a terrific Christmas! I wish you a very happy New Year full of many blessings!

Wow - so fun to see a picture of your whole family! You have all those sisters - you're so lucky! I've always wanted a sister. I'll bet Rebekah is hoping for a little sister. And Joseph is probably hoping for a little bro. Do you know what you're having yet??
Happy New Year to you! So fun that you got dumped with SNOW! Rebekah's Christmas dress turned out nice - looks like snowflakes on it. Very fitting this year!
