Ghostly Sewing Machine

In the middle of the night (around 3am) the blackness had overcome the room. I rose to go to the restroom in a semi-still- asleep state. I veered to far to the right and abruptly bumped the sewing machine resting on my dresser. And immediately it began to "Whir." Yes, as the motor began to protest being woke up at such an ungodly hour I tried to get it to stop. After banging it with my fist and simply had to run to the restroom to do what I had woke up to do. I left apologizing to my husband for the noise. As I returned soon after the machine was still upset. I tried turning it on and off several times and then tried unplugging it. Still whirring but the needle is still. My thoughts were: "What in the world?!!" Was it demon possessed? Were aliens trying to communicate to me? Then my husband asks, "Maybe the foot petal is stuck." (The machine is unplugged at this moment.) I quickly check the petal- not stuck- machine still whirring. I grab the little bag that comes with the machine and find the screwdriver. I pull the front plate off and the machine is totally still. That is when it hits me... the noise is coming from behind the machine. I move it to find my daughters electric toothbrush that has a button pushed to the "on" position. LOL
Moral of the story is: Your sewing machine is not alive- even if it does like sewing with you.

Hi Wendy!

Thanks for your sweet words & encouragement. We live in a very home school supported state (CO) and we don't have to do even a fraction of what CA is required to do for home schooling! I know a lot of people that are astounded and praying FERVENTLY for your state!

I see you are a quilter! We are getting our baby's quilt back from a quilter this week and will be posting pics of it very soon!! I can't wait.

Blessings,

Sara
